Testimonial

When I first started giving lessons to Ashton three years ago, he played off a 36 handicap. Although at first his scores on the course weren't great I could see the potential in his golf swing. A very athletic and supple move, which combined with Ashton's ability to quickly comprehend the feedback I was giving him and make changes to his swing easily, saw his scores on the course get lower and lower.

Ashton has always been a drawer of the golf ball, but had tendencies to either hit blocks or hooks. Over the past 3 years we have have worked hard to make Ashton's club path more neutral through impact to tighten up his dispersion and hit shots with less curvature. This combined with increased swing speed he has picked up in this time has contributed significantly to his rapid handicap reductions.

Ashton realised from early on in his golfing career that practicing all aspects of the game as well as playing the golf course was the key to improvement and lower scores. To this day, there isn't a member of Bearwood Lakes with a higher work ethic when it comes to practice than Ashton, which is why he has gone from a high handicapper to a plus figure one in such a short space of time. If Ashton can maintain his love for practice and playing and his desire for improvement, then there is no doubt he can become an elite level golfer.
